AT MARIQUENSIS
Summer is all about the river. The water is clean, there are fish and a great variety of aquatic life to discover in moments of quiet.
Canoes are available to paddle upstream, perhaps for fishing, perhaps for dreaming.
Via River Still, several acres of wild koppie awaits the avid explorer of any age across the river, offering heart-warming vistas and magical wild spaces.
The clean air means that at night you will see many more stars than the cities have to offer, and if you are lucky enough to find the right local, you will be treated to an astronomical orientation.
Bird and butterfly watchers won't be disappointed - the garden is designed to show them off. Clivias bloom in the spring, and agapanthus in the summer.
Next door, River Still provides a venue for large family get-togethers, conferencing and workshops.
Visit our little grave yard, and find the generations of farm residents buried here.

WATER SPORTS
For those who love noise and speed, the Marico Bosveld Dam is situated a little way north of the town where holiday makers launch their various boating favourites.
